Returns & Refunds Policy

Thank you for shopping with us. We take great pride in the quality of our furniture and homewares. If something isn’t quite right, we’re here to help.


1. Change of Mind Returns

We accept returns for change of mind within 14 days of delivery, subject to the following conditions:

  • Items must be unused, in original condition, and in original packaging.

  • Proof of purchase is required.

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Please note: Due to the nature of our products, large furniture items may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns unless approved in advance.


2. Damaged or Faulty Items

If your item arrives damaged or develops a fault:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and a description of the issue.

  • We will assess and offer a replacement, repair, or refund where appropriate.

  • We will cover any return or collection costs for faulty or damaged items.

  • Where the customer states to leave in a safe space and the item goes missing, Smallhill Furniture Co will not be liable. Leaving an order in a safe space is at the customers own risk. 

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Custom-made, refinished or made-to-order furniture

  • Clearance or final sale items

  • Gift cards

  • Items that have been assembled or used (unless faulty)


4. Return Process

To initiate a return:

  1. Email us at hello@smallhillfurniture.co.uk with your order number and reason for return.

  2. We will provide return instructions and approval (if applicable).

  3. Securely package the item and send it back using a tracked service.

We recommend keeping proof of postage, as we are not responsible for lost returns.


5. Refunds

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.

  • Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the item is faulty.


6. Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need an exchange, please contact us to arrange this.


7. Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty.

  • For large or bulky items, we may assist in arranging collection, and the cost will be deducted from your refund.
